Delta Solder is the world leader in innovative soldering products. World renowned and approved by Major OEM’s and EMS providers around the globe, Delta Solder has been a major backbone of the electronics industry for over 35 years.

Objectives

• Combine corporate and products websites

• Implement e-commerce capabilities - woo-commerce integration

• Provide the ability to have dynamic pricing and variable products

Phase 1: Prototyping

Delta Solder previously had to separate websites - one for corporate and one that solely displayed their products, with no e-commerce integration. Where they also needed help was navigation – the primary menu was bogged down with dozens of drop-down options and unclear language.

The focus for this website redesign project was all about improving the navigation for a stronger user experience and adding the ability to purchase products on the website. The integration of e-commerce into the website was a huge win. Delta Solder offers a wide range of products, with each product containing several variants and different price breaks for each.

Phase 2: Style Concepts

Delta Solder had very specific requests and requirements regarding the content and placement. There was also zero room for the graphics to be manipulated. Keeping that in mind, the new site is designed with lots of whitespace to balance out the heavy text.

Phase 3: Bringing it all together

Delta Solder’s new website delivers a clean look, catering to a very specific target audience. The website has a fully functional shop. It includes their entire range of products and each product page has a dropdown menu for the customer to select the exact variant they want and the quantity. The checkout page also allows customers to use a coupon code and pay using PayPal.
